Anamaria Martinca is an actress from Romania. She debuted on the big screen in Sex Traffic by Channel 4 in which she won she was awarded the British Academy Television Award was awarded to the best actress. French, German English and Romanian are all spoken fluently. Her mother was a violinist and her father is a professor of theater at one of Romania's best theater schools. In addition to her outstanding performance in her debut movie, the actress will remain in the memory of her role on the Romanian movie "4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days" which won her numerous accolades, among them her the European Film Award of Best Actress from the London Film Critics. In 2007, her role as a character in Cristian Mungiu's Romanian art film, 4 luni 3 semaines si 2 days (4 3 weeks, 4 months and 2 days), won both the Palme d'Or Award at the Cannes Film Festival 2007 and two other awards, the Cinema Prize for the French National Education System as well as the FIPRESCI Prize. She also appeared as a character in The Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. She portrayed Yasim Awar in the BBC's 5 episode The Last Enemy miniseries. Marinca was a part of Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven as also in the Romanian drama Boogie. In the film Fury (2014) in which she appeared as Irma who was an German woman who played Emma's aunt.
