Carey, a former high fashion model, who measures at almost 5'10" was well-liked by American fashion designers such as Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. She is the daughter of the world-renowned geologist, who was in 1979 named Scientist of the year in 1979 by the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. Because of his work, Carey has been raised across the globe. Modeling began part time when she was a student at university at the University of Colorado and caught the attention of an agent from the Ford model Agency in New York. In 1986 she made her first appearance on stage with a small character as a minor character in "Club Paradise" with Robin Williams. In her spare time, she enjoys doing white-water rafting, skiing, rock climbing, and wind-surfing.
